Gwangju Museum of Art is supporting young artists in creating artworks and providing local artists with opportunities to enter the overseas art market. For these purposes, the museum operated the Palgakjeong Art Studio (1995~2011.3) and Yangsandong Art Studio (2004~2013.3), and it has been operating the Beijing Residency since 2009.
